RACING DIVISIONS
DIVISION 1
National Midgets
National Midgets are open wheel cars that weigh approx. 1000 pounds and range 300 – 400 horse power. The mixture of the small size of the car, and the high out put motors makes them especially quick and exciting to watch. All modern midget cars are equipped with 5 or 6 point racing harnesses. The king of short track racing, they are typically not driven on any track longer than a mile, and rarely on a mile. Many widely known race car drivers such as Tony Stewart, Sarah Fisher, Jeff Gordon, Kasey Kahne, Ryan Newman, and many others got their start in midget racing. Starting in 1933, midget racing is one of the longest standing traditions in the United States.
DIVISION 2
Classic Modified (Dwarfs)
Similar to their Legend cousins the dwarf cars replicate scaled classic cars as well. Any similarity to the Legend cars stops there though. These cars are true open “Modified-Style” cars with no fenders. They also have a 1250cc limit but can run any make of motor that meets these requirements.
DIVISION 3
Inex Legends
Legends cars are 5/8 scale, 1930′s and 1940′s Coups and Sedans raced in the past as the Nascar Modified Tour. They are typically 1250cc yamaha motorcycle motors and feature full tube frames. They originate from 600 Motor-sports of Charlotte, North Carolina.
DIVISION 4
Mini Cups
Mini Cups are 1/2 scale stock cars built nearly identical to their Nascar cousins. They have full tube chassis with coil over shocks, disc brakes, rack and pinion steering, and completely adjustable suspension. The fiberglass bodies are decorated in much the same way as Nascar, loosely resembling popular street cars. These cars are often a starter series for young drivers that do not want to invest a great deal of money.
